Do's and Don't

Anti-Bark

Do's
  • Do reward your dog when he stops barking
  • Do practice the stop command
  • Do remove all other collars with metallic parts or tags. The created noise could needlessly activate the device.
  • Do fill to capacity before adjusting it to the dog.
  • Do take the battery out when not using the device
Don'ts
  • The collar should be worn only during periods of excessive barking and no more than eight hours per day.
  • Your spray collar is water resistant but not completely watertight. Remove it each time your dog wants to go for a swim.
  • If your dog tries to strip off the collar, a harness may be used instead of the collar provided with the kit. Dog harnesses are available in all good pet shops.
  • If required, trim your dog's fur on his neck where it could interfere with the spraying device.
  • Avoid letting your dog wear a collar with an empty reservoir.

  • To accelerate the Virtual Fence training time, you can use the Virtual Barrier's system for the initial Virtual Fence training.
  • Refill the receiver collar prior to every usage.
Don'ts:
  • In order to reduce the risk of an electric shock or damage to the transmitter, avoid placing the transmitter on wet surfaces, in moist or humid areas.
  • Never force the pet to receive the spray let him discover the zone by himself.
  • Avoid placing the transmitter on metallic surfaces. Metallic objects can alter the magnetic field and change the range of the signal.
  • Do not put the receiver collar on the dog before first testing the zone.
